A beautiful market town situated in the very heart of the Marches, in the south of Shropshire close to the borders of Herefordshire, Worcestershire and Wales.
Ludlow has a well deserved reputation for food due to the quality of the produce made in the area, its award winning bakers, butchers sourcing local meat. Some of the chefs who have made their names here have gone on to win international acclaim. Shopping in town is abundant thanks to the unusually high number of independent shops found thriving in the streets of the town. The town has more listed buildings than anywhere else of the same size in the uk and the pinnacles of the architecture here are the medieval castle and St Laurence’s Church – the ‘cathedral of the Marches’.
